Start at Stanley on the A693 High Street. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Station Road (A6076), signposted Newcastle, Gateshead. Just before the next roundabout take the sharp left hand turn onto Barn Hill (B6173). Follow the road until the A692. Turn right onto the A692 at the traffic lights, then immediately left onto Syke Bank. Continue down the hill and take the first right turn in Burnopfield (Birch Crescent) and follow the road bearing left as the road forks. 9 East View is at the top of the rise on your left.
