Start out on High West Street heading north. Turn left onto the A184. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the B1426 (Bensham Road, signposted Bensham). After 1 ½ miles take the 2nd exit onto the B1426 Lobleyhill Road (signposted The South, Newcastle A1). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A692 (signposted Consett). Continue along the A692 through Sunniside and Byermoor until Burnopfield. Just after the Pack Horse, bear right onto the B6310 Front Street, pass the Sun Inn on the left. Turn left onto Birch Crescent (the street name sign reads ‘leading to Birch Crescent’). 100 yards on your right is 9 East View.
