Start out at Consett. From the Villa Real roundabout follow the A692 (Leadgate bypass signposted Gateshead). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A692 (signposted Gateshead). At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A692 (signposted Gateshead). Follow the A692 through Dipton until the Pickering Nook Junction of the A692 with Syke Bank. Turn left at the lights, down Syke Bank. Turn right into Birch Crescent and follow the road bearing left as the road forks. 9 East View is at the top of the rise on your left.
