Start out on Durham Road (A6127) Heading north. Continue until the junction with the A1. At the roundabout take the 1st exit, then merge onto the A1(signposted Newcastle). Follow the A1 until the junction with the A692. Branch left, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A692 (signposted Consett). Continue along the A692 through Sunniside and Byermoor until Burnopfield. Just after the Pack Horse, turn right onto the B6310 Front Street, pass the Sun Inn on the left. Turn left onto Birch Crescent (the street name sign reads ‘leading to Birch Crescent’). 100 yards on your right is 9 East View.
